I was asked by Chasity(pictured below) the other day what I did in my free time. I was a bit lost for a response. I wanted to say photography but that sounded kind of odd. It’s true though!

Well here’s a shot of the couple that made this post happen.Their engagement photos are going to be absolutely ridiculous! I promise to post them. Right after I post some of Jamie and Scott’s photos.

I figured I would share some of the things I’ve been photographing outside of weddings. These are pretty much projects that spanned over the year so far. And no, I don’t shoot bands. I plan on experimenting with a new style of photography when I get some free time in late November. Unless there’s a turkey wedding that pops up!

I’m shooting a wedding in the mountains of North Carolina this weekend. It’s definitely the first time I met the bride only two days before the wedding(in person). Things went really well, as always. I seem to find the coolest clients on the planet. Or they find me rather!

The story of these guys is great. They actually dated in high school and rediscovered each other 10 years later.

So I’m sitting in Tanya’s living room and she pulls out these really cool fully customized Chuck Taylors with her wedding date on them. They were super cool and definitely different. Apparently they are fully customizable so I’m waiting on the black and red ‘Ash Little Photography’ editions with the converse logo removed and big A on the side!

I scoped out the downtown area and found 9 locations for us to shoot the post ceremony shots. So those are going to be blast! I have 3 shoots lined up for Sunday Monday and Tuesday so check back!

This converse shot was taken at 3200 ISO. Unbelievable!

Stir Magazine

The magazine should be in print on Friday. It’s viewable online at stircolumbia.com It’s a brand new magazine that just went monthly with this issue.

I shot William the professional poker player. We had a lot of cool shots. The editor chose this one because of the freeze frame of the Aces. It was quite a lucky capture. William worked it perfectly.

Also did the Rosso restaurant shoot. That place is really nice. They should be opening pretty soon. What I did there was actually take 4 different photos and stitched them together.

I photographed Katie, the bartender, as well. I believe her face was getting a little warm from the flame.

I also did the car shots. I was a little restricted shooting in a parking lot last minute. I’m hoping I get a lot more flexibility on the next one. I’ll post a few more later on.

Mad World

It’s freezing cold outside and it’s amazing I’ve found anything to shoot lately. Within a two week span I’ll will have photographed a musician, disc jockey, bartender, magician, a restaurant, and two cars. I just want to say I’m a wedding photographer though . And I promise there will be a ton of new content coming way. I actually signed on with a local magazine to shoot for a story they run on new/retro cars. It’s going to be a lot of fun and I’m drooling over some wild ideas.
