Megan & Breck

January 11th, 2011 No comments

This is an engagement post. I just don’t know how many actual engagement photos are gonna make it in the blog entry. We really rocked it out all day long.

For starters, Megan and Breck invited me on a plane ride over Charleston.

Breck told me I had to be Goose. He was Maverick. I was like, ‘dude you’re the one getting married!” Then Breck said, “I’m the one with the motorcycle!” And I was like, “give me my own plane and I’ll be Ice Man and show you what’s up!”

Those are Megan’s parents. Definitely the first people I ever met from an airplane!

Breck is a pilot in the Air Force. Just in case everybody is wondering where I came up with this theme music. I think we pretty much did a full movie reenactment except for the karaoke part in the movie.

This is Boone Hall Plantation. Probably one of the most well known plantations in the south. This is where these guys are getting married. We circled it and I captured photos of the corn maze. Since I’m already working on 30 photos for a blog post you’ll have to take my word for it.

Here’s one of my favorites.

Megan asked for this shot. She said Breck kissed her on the forehead a lot and it turned out great!

We stopped in at one their favorite restaurants and ordered a few espresso martinis. Doesn’t this go perfectly with the music?

Breck said the only way you could drink espresso martinis is if you played hard.

We played pretty hard that day! I finished up eating dinner with Megan and Breck at this cool little Italian restaurant. It was really great getting to know them. I look forward to 2011!

Thanks for serving our country Breck!

Gabe & Anna One Year Later…

December 21st, 2010 No comments

Here’s Gabe and Anna once again. I photographed them a little over a year ago. It was freezing but we made it! They have a LOT of energy and are incredibly difficult to keep up with. I don’t shoot families very often but it does keep me ‘on my toes’ as a photographer doing something a little different.

Jennifer & Oliver

December 16th, 2010 No comments

I’m glad you are actually getting to see these pics because this shoot seemed like it was never going to happen! Crazy weather and even crazier engagement parties held us back our first few attempts.

We started the day off eating lunch and watching some football. I’m actually a huge football fan and come to find out, so is Oliver. He was pulling for the Cowboys…a lost cause with their losing record this season. I actually like the Broncos and they are an equally lost cause and probably will be for the next few seasons. Now that I scared off future potential brides with all the football talk I will move on.

This is one of my favorite new spots I found. I’ve been wanting to shoot here for a while. I love the retro feel!

These guys are getting married in Sumter.

I decided to do something a little different with this shoot and go a little more grungy. Since we were going to finish up in the park, I figured we could go all out.

Oliver is actually German! The only German food I’ve ever eaten was schnitzel at Julia’s here in Columbia.

We were lucky to get this shoot done right before the cold weather set in. I think this has been the coldest weather around here EVER and it’s not even winter yet!
