Li’l Cricket and Fish Man

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

If you’ve read my blog in the past you know I’ve given away an Ipod Touch. There is a little story behind it. I actually ruined my Ipod Touch when I got in the ocean with it. I bought a new one but decided to go with the infamous Iphone right after. I ended up giving it away in a contest. What’s really strange is I ruined it right at this house where this wedding was shot last month. This is the exact location where I go to the beach(the right side of the rocks) when I go to Charleston. You’re probably asking, “why did you get in the ocean with an ipod?” Well I was busy playing with an underwater housing for Angie’s camera. I was pretty anxious to try it out. It wasn’t the best thing ever being that I ended up ruining her camera in Puerto Rico on vacation. It leaked when I was snorkeling.

This is David. He’s about to take the plunge just like my Ipod. Noelle(his soon to be wife) warned me that he kisses like a fish for photos. I never really saw that happen but I figured I would use it for the posting headline.

Here’s Noelle on the right. Her sister Belina is actually doing her makeup. Belina actually gave her away during the ceremony.

They actually wrote their own vows. This is where I discovered Noelle’s nickname Li’l Cricket.

The dress.

The shoes.

Fast forward to the creative stuff.

I think this is probably my favorite shot from the day.

Yes! There were people at the wedding!! Be sure to watch the photobooth video in the previous post to see how much fun they had.

A little something different with some red.

Off to Jamaica we go!

Legare Waring House

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

This big day happened at the Legare Waring House in Charleston, SC. In my opinion it’s one of the best places to have a wedding in the area. Julie Ann Oldman was a pleasure to work with as well as Ryan McKenzie from Hamby Catering who was the event coordinator.

This makeup artist actually emailed through my website. She didn’t type her email in correctly so I never could email her back. I have received quite a few submissions where I couldn’t email the people back. Careful people!

The rooms in Legare are really nice as you can tell!

Here’s Chasity with her sister helping with the dress. Brandi let me borrow her Iphone several times to check the weather. I’ve moved up to an Iphone now.

Keep it together Chasity!

Trying to get that perfect shot.

Bling Bling! On a side note, the first wedding I ever shot had the biggest ring I’ve ever seen in my life. I can’t even post it because it doesn’t even look real. It had an actual album of the whole design process. This was probably my fav for 2009 though.

The day you have always dreamed about….finally here!

Sean in the study taking a break from the Alabama game that was on.

Almost there.

Probably my favorite shot from 2009. Now on the intro page to my website.

Chasity on her way to see Sean for the first time!

Alabama eventually won the championship and I swore Florida would.

Sean’s dad looking on.

Doesn’t get any better than this!

You may kiss your bride!

At the front gate getting a few shots after the rain settled down.

These guys really did a great job and they were really easy to work with.

Taking the Canon 5D Mark II to it’s limits! Great pose Chasity!

First dance shot!

Having a good time yet?

The food was amazing too. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

They not only threw a wedding…they had a party!

Insert favorite song here.

Perry & Justin

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Check out the cameo by me!

Here’s Justin getting ready with the guys. They were married at one of the nicest golf courses in Charlotte, North Carolina. Justin was an outstanding groom to work with. Here he is being a little competitive with the guys. I am extremely competitive no matter what I do. I won a kickball championship here in Columbia a few years back. It was epic.

This is Perry’s grandfather’s United States Navy pin. Her sister Ashley(who is very talented) actually made it for her. Check out her very popular blog here.

Here’s Perry getting some last minute touch up to her makeup. She’s actually a professional golfer and quite possibly the best looking on the LPGA.

When you’re about to get married, you just point and it appears in your hands…amazing!

We actually took a few photos before the ceremony since it would possibly be too dark afterward.

This guy was incredible. He set the mood just right!

Perry was taking a peek out the window seeing the guest arrive when I snapped this.

Perry’s dad tossing the tee escorting her in.

Incredible and stunning!

I’m not sure what I like better, the kiss or the crowd looking back!

Squeezing in a few photos before the reception. Indoor silhouette…

Justin asked for this shot long before the wedding day. I love the lanterns. Apparently, that’s what the golf course is known for.

Perry’s mom told me to wash my hands a lot because of the swine flu. When we went on the engagement shoot I showed Perry my bottle of hand sanitizer. Haven’t been sick in forever, knock on wood.

This is one of my favorites.

This is called off camera lighting and it’s amazing!

The event coordinator was really strict with everyone. I really thought he did a good job. He kept everything in order and I was able to concentrate on photography.

Great looking couple!

I just watched Footloose on netflix. This guy would seriously put Kevin Bacon to shame. I’m not sure that movie is very hip anymore(the dancing). I guess that’s why they are remaking it.

This was the traditional toddler toss…..j/k

The big exit and a new beginning!

See ya on the next post!
