Crystal and Andy

If these 80+ photos from Andy and Crystal’s wedding aren’t enough for you then check the bottom of the page and you can see all the photos from the wedding in a video.

These guys were incredibly nice to me. Andy invited me to the rehearsal dinner so I got to meet everyone before the wedding. The wedding went smoothly as you can tell. Thanks to Joy at A Joyful Occasion for coordinating a great event.

Today is Andy’s birthday and everyone is out celebrating so I’m gonna go live with the post right now.

Megan Hail’s Bridal…I mean Hale….

May 26th, 2011 No comments

The title is an inside joke. Well not really. It started hailing during the bridal but it was pretty fitting being it was going to be Megan’s last name soon enough. There’s a video at the bottom of the post when Megan and I were stuck in the car. It actually got so bad I thought the windows were gonna break. There was 60 mph gusts coming from off the marsh. I circled the plantation looking for a tree to hide under. Never found one since the hail was coming in sideways.

This was shot at the Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, SC. I actually have a wedding there this weekend. I’m pretty sure Megan is gonna be there too!

Cobble stone streets + oak trees + Charleston = can’t lose.

Best thing about having a blog is I get to put up my favorite images from the shoot!

Here’s Megan with her gorgeous mom…don’t they look great together!

This is one of my favorites…probably because it’s a new black and white i’ve been tinkering with. Slightly more vintage feel to it. Also classic example of me getting the bride to take her hair down at the end of the shoot.

One of my favorite portrait shots on the beach.

Veil shots…my weakness!

Might be the only time u ever see hail on a Charleston Plantation. If it isn’t then it’s the only time you will ever see hail on a Charleston Plantation with a bride screaming in the car.

Pawleys Island Fried Chicken

May 20th, 2011 No comments

I met Mandy and Brad down in Pawleys Island for their engagement shoot. I had no idea it was so close to where I spent most of my childhood vacations. Mandy’s grandmother actually lives there by a beautiful marsh. She had fried chicken and biscuits waiting on me when I got there. That was the first time I had fried chicken in about 3 months and it was delicious!

Here’s Mandy and Brad sitting on the steps of her grandmother’s house. We shot all over the property. Oyster shells were everywhere near the pier. I could go for some oysters right now – with that green Tabasco sauce…whoa!

These shots were some of my favorite from the entire day.
