Pawleys Island Fried Chicken

May 20th, 2011 No comments

I met Mandy and Brad down in Pawleys Island for their engagement shoot. I had no idea it was so close to where I spent most of my childhood vacations. Mandy’s grandmother actually lives there by a beautiful marsh. She had fried chicken and biscuits waiting on me when I got there. That was the first time I had fried chicken in about 3 months and it was delicious!

Here’s Mandy and Brad sitting on the steps of her grandmother’s house. We shot all over the property. Oyster shells were everywhere near the pier. I could go for some oysters right now – with that green Tabasco sauce…whoa!

These shots were some of my favorite from the entire day.

Carly and Caleb

I have had this blog entry sitting in my draft folder for a few months. I figured I would finally post some of my favorites from the engagement shoot!

Carly wanted a few shots with her dog Winston.

Here was a big gem I found. I was riding around Savannah looking for cool spots for the shoot. I found this eclectic furniture store that was ROCKING! Carly and Caleb weren’t going to meet me until the evening. The place was closing in about an hour so I had to act quick. I got permission from the very nice people running 24e and called Carly up and told her I would pick her up in 15 minutes.

It was like 95 degrees outside….so this was a great way to start out and let it cool down.

Not only was the furniture and accessories amazing but the building was pretty incredible.

We also rode down to the beach on Tybee Island.

These guys have been together since middle school. I use to think I was gonna marry my middle school girlfriend one day.

This is the kinda photo that gets my inbox blown up with family beach requests.

Here’s a vintage coke mural I found. We actually shot this before the beach.

Tiffany & CJ

Congrats to Tiffany & CJ!  These guys are getting married in an absolutely beautiful location in North Carolina later in the year!  I’m really excited about shooting their wedding!  Ha ha!  I get a big kick out of being a wedding photographer.  If you would have asked me 4 years ago if I would be doing this I would have given you a funny look!

For the record – I include a free engagement shoot for all my wedding clients.  I highly recommend it because it’s always gives the couple and myself a chance to get to know one another.  Very crucial being that we spend so much time together on their wedding day!

I’ve about caught up on my work and put myself back on schedule.  I have a few more shoots to upload but check back by Friday. The engagement video will be up by then.
